8 point lift FAQs

  • The 8 point face lift is so-called because filler is injected into eight points in the face to give an overall lift and rejuvenated appearance. The treatment is used instead of treating single wrinkles with botox or dermal fillers. It treats the face as a whole rather than looking at one individual area.

    The dermal filler is injected using a thin cannula, needle, or combination of the two. How much dermal filler is used depends on the individual patient. The filler is injected into eight carefully placed positions in the face, which were originally identified by Dr Mauricio De Maio, the originator of the liquid face lift.

  • Here at SkinDeep Medical, we use HA fillers. Dermal fillers are perfectly safe for use within the skin because they are made from a natural ingredient that is found in the body - Hyaluronic Acid (HA). There have been lots of studies that have proved its effectiveness and safety.

    We only use high quality fillers at SkinDeep and Chiara is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with many years of experience in aesthetics.

  • Choosing the right practitioner is crucial. Not only do you need to feel comfortable with your practitioner on a personal level, but you also need to make sure that you feel confident in their abilities, skills and knowledge.

    We always advise prospective patients to do their research and form educated decisions.

  • Dermal fillers are instant so you will see a visible result immediately after your treatment.

    You may also experience swelling, which will subside and allow the filler to sit more naturally in the skin. This can take around two weeks.

  • Dermal fillers are not permanent. This treatment usually last between 12 and 18 months. However, this varies depending on the injection site, age and metabolism.

  • The dermal fillers will be injected into the desired areas of the face. This may feel uncomfortable, but the pain should go away straight after.

    We will also use a topical anaesthetic to numb the area if required.
